July 22 – Casual Pi Day

Standard

Happy Casual Pi Day! I’m certain the world was running around in a frenzy madder than christmas eve last minute shopping in an effort to make sure actual pi day (the 14th of March)  was celebrated with the serious tone it was intended to be celebrated in. I’m just as certain that this is why we celebrate a more Casual Pi Day today. Because pi has infinite digits, we always use an estimation of it when we use it in math. This estimation can be expressed as the fraction 22/7, hence Casual Pi Day being celebrated on the 22nd day of the 7th month.
